Since 2004, Juba Foundation has been a beacon of hope for communities in need. Through conflict, crisis, and recovery, we have remained committed to saving lives and restoring dignity. Here’s a look at our journey over the past two decades:
2004–2008

Foundations of Hope

This phase marked a shift toward institutional strengthening and program scale-up. We improved our operational capacity and broadened our interventions to respond to both acute emergencies and long-term development needs. Key achievements included

  • Formal registration with key coordination platforms, including the Somali NGO Consortium
  • Launch of integrated relief and development initiatives
  • Enhanced monitoring and reporting systems
  • Opening of our liaison office in Nairobi to build partnerships

We became a stronger, more agile organization—ready to meet growing demands.

Expanding Reach & Building Trust

As needs grew, so did our capacity. We began to expand our reach and build trust with communities and partners. Juba Foundation introduced new programs focused on education access, WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene), and institutional partnerships. Highlights from this phase include:
  • Launch of WATSAN (water and sanitation) projects
  • Collaboration with local schools and education authorities
  • Increased visibility through field presence and project delivery
  • Strengthened internal systems for program management

Our reputation as a reliable and community-rooted organization began to grow.
